Matthew Damiani

Matthew Damiani is the Founder and Principal of Damiani Capital and a seasoned, award-winning executive in the Retail, CPG, and Healthcare industries.

Prior to founding Damiani Capital, Mr. Damiani was the CEO at Loves Furniture, Inc., a Detroit-based retail startup. In this role, Mr. Damiani was hand-selected to bring a fresh, modern shopping experience to market. First stores opened in less than 100 days, rapidly expanding to 30+ locations and 1,000 associates within 6 months.

Before Loves Furniture, Mr. Damiani was the Vice President, Enterprise Operations and Customer Experience at Art Van Furniture, the Midwest’s #1 Furniture and Mattress retailer. In this role, he was responsible for the overall Customer Experience, as well as Customer Service and Field Service Operations. His work actively transformed processes, people, and technology across the enterprise. Prior to this role, Mr. Damiani was hired into Art Van as Vice President, Head of Digital Operations, where he was brought in as part of the turnaround growth strategy and to expand the e-Commerce division.

Mr. Damiani spent 15 years at Staples Inc., including the early hyper-growth years, with leadership roles across Supply Chain, Operations, Strategy, Process & Engineering. His work included a multi-year expat assignment supporting European ERP and Business Transformation.

Mr. Damiani holds a B.A. in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business and holds a M.B.A. from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

Mr. Damiani is an alumni advisory board member for the Michigan State University Broad College of Business.
